Getting a backlink to your site from a site like this is equivalent of a golf club maker getting an endorsement from Tiger Woods.

  The more backlinks (endorsements) you get from other reputable websites the more the search engines will feel they can trust you.

  Also just like in real life, paid endorsements don’t mean as much as free earned endorsements which is why Google does not want site owners paying for backlinks that deceivingly appear to be earned backlinks.
